20th May 2012

I am the recommended supplier at the Village Hotel Maidstone and am lucky enough to meet there lovely brides & grooms, I meet this bride Trina Clarke at a wedding fair who was getting married here, and she was such a kind caring lady with 2 beautiful boys, her husband to be Jules Haynes is lovely and they wanted the whole theme to be around both countries coming together.  They choose Yellow, Blue & Cream, Trina wanted to do as much as she could herself, and create her dream wedding, after lots of consultations we came up with Gebera centre pieces in swell gel beads

she wanted all the colours in there too, so we died some of the gerberas for her Blue, along with the blue beads & the light it really had a lovely effect on the whole room, She choose Blue sashes to go on the Ivory chair covers & yellow runners for the table, apart from the top table where she had special sashes that we arranged for her from Bling Designs did for her, with Mr & Mrs Haynes on and the other members of the top table had Blue Sashes, with a Yellow Swag on the top as well, the top table flowers were provided by Slinders.

we also set up her sweetie station which were in order colour as well, she had the closed signs up until the evening reception, along with the flags of the countries coming together.

She also had some lovely balloons that were done by Cloud Nine Balloons Lorna Topliff which just set the room off to be picture perfect, next to our starlight backdrop which looks stunning in the evening, but even in this picture I still think it looks stunning.

Trina wanted to include the boys in the wedding and I just loved her cakes she had the traditional one & then one for the whole family , I am not sure who made it but I think you will all love it, this was sat next to the present table with our beautiful cast iron postbox.

2nd June 2012

This was a busy day for the team at Sarah Poole, we had 3 beautiful weddings, to set up & dress, as well as a corporate function as well.

The first one was Acica Hall in Dartford it was in the marquee in there grounds the weather was shinning, this was a lovely couple Clare & Stuart, I was lucky enough to be asked to do there wedding as I worked with Clare mum at Cobham Hall and she knew that I would take her daughters dreams and make them come true, Clare suffers for hayfever and was unable to have fresh flowers, so I designed and made her bridal flowers in Foam, this also meant that the whole of the decorations had to be silk, she choose a purple colour to go with her dresses.  She wanted it elegant with pearls in, her sister wanted feathers within her design so Clare did this as a surprise for her.

they had button holes to match as well.  Clare choose to have large fish bowls with floating silk purple geberas in, ivory chair covers & purple sashes along with butterflies around the marquee it just looked lovely.  We did the flowers for the top of the wedding cake to match the brides flowers.  Clare did the favours which was stick of rock with there names & date of there wedding which was so different.

The next wedding that day was Ben & Dawn they had there reception at Snodland Community Centre, they choose a Black & Silver theme for there wedding, they had Black Chair covers with Silver Taffata sashes, Black Duni Lin napkins wrapped with silver ribbon, along with large Silver Crystal Balls on the top table and smaller ones on the other tables.

The next wedding was Claire & Marks, they got married at Upnor Castle, Rochester we dressed the stairs with ivy & lights which I believe set this venue off like it has never been done before, along with 2 wisteria trees at the bottom.

They then had there reception at Shorne Village Hall, they had Cadbury Purple Satin Sashes along with white chair covers, & Fish bowls with roses in.  The backdrop at the back of the top table just set this venue off again from the plain brick walls, again they had 2 wisteria trees either side along with some swaging around the rooms with hearts at various areas.  They had balloons by Cloud Nine Balloons Lorna Topliffe in the buffet area to keep the theme of purple going through.  We were lucky enough to be invited to the evening reception where they had a fantastic band which got everyone up and enjoying themselves.

The last function we had on this busy bank holiday weekend was The Kent County Football League Presentation Dinner at the Mercure Maidstone Great DanesHotel, here we provided white chair covers with Red & Royal Blue Sashes which went with the colours, we did the top table in Haart colours which is a lilac colour.  We hope they had a great time, celebrating the different clubs trophies.

Nathan & Claire Wedding 5th April 2012

The wedding day was here, it was a beautiful day down at Lymnne Castle, the team arrived and started setting up the chair covers in the ceremony room, Claire was here getting ready with her bridesmaids, once we had finished the ceremony room which looked stunning, with the Navy Sashes against the White Chair Covers, the photographer had arrived it was the lovely Go West Team, I have had pleasure working with & networking with them before.

We then went and dressed the Wedding Breakfast Room which has oval tables, with beautiful Crystal Ball Lanterns, they looked stunning in this old building. Our bride also choose our Wishing Well for her cards.

They had an unusual table plan which was beautiful as Claire had done this herself with a mirror, made it that extra special.

Once the Ceremony was over we then moved there chair for them into the wedding breakfast area while Carolyn & Tony from Go West took some stunning pictures of the Bride & Groom.

While they were having there wedding breakfast we were cooking the Hog Roast that for them for the evening reception it smelt divine.

We then served this alongside the Chocolate Fountain that they had as well.

Some of the beautiful dips they had at there fountain.

5th May 2012

I meet lovely Bride Sheila Turner up at the Bluewater Glow Wedding Fair who was getting married on the HMS Victoria Embankment, she wanted up to provide her with sweetie centre pieces in large martini vases with some lovely sweets Shrimps, Fried Eggs, Strawberry Bon Bons,. Rhubarb and Custard, Fruit Salads, Heart throbs, Humbugs, Refreshers.

This is why I love doing what I do as I receive letters like this:

Dear Sarah –

Three letters is all I have to say – OMG!

Those sweets were the talking point of our wedding party on Saturday…….friends were ‘trading’ between tables…..laughter could be heard as accusations of fairness flew around.  They were just so wonderful.

Owing to the weather, we had to eat inside.  Staff on the President divided them into other glass dishes etc, so each table had some sweets – they were a massive success.

Thank you so much –

Take care,

Sheila

12th March 2012

I was asked to do a business colleagues sons wedding, I was really pleased to be asked to do this for them, I have known them for many years when I worked at Cobham Hall, there Son Adam had decided to marry his girlfriend Michelle at Cooling Castle on the 12th March 2012.

I meet with them at there home in Sussex and went through various ideas with them as well as colour & what went well at Cooling Castle as it is an old barn.

They decided to go with Ivory Chair covers & Burgundy sashes along with Blue Runners for the table, the colours were decided as Adam works in the Army Royal Horse Artillery.  They decided to go with Geberas for the centre pieces in bowls that they had bought themselves as it was a intimate wedding with only 50 people invited.  Michelle choose Red Roses for her bouquet & the grooms party button holes.  It looked stunning, I was privileged to be invited to the evening reception with my husband.

The evening buffet was lovely it had a range of different hot & cold food, it was lovely seeing the couple so happy at there first dance.  It is so nice when you get asked to do something for a business colleague and see the happiness it brings to them.
